Beautiful grounds but lacking hospitality
The historic property is absolutely stunning and provides a unique charm, making it a lovely backdrop for a getaway. However, the experience was marred by unwelcoming staff and disappointing service that made me feel more like a burden than a guest. The breakfast was decent, but not as memorable as I hoped.

The grounds are stunning and historical, perfect for exploring with my kids. We loved our visit to Elizabethtown College, where they used the Inn as a unique setting for special needs children. The cooking on offer was particularly delicious!
My kids wished for a better play area for children during our stay.

The stay was enjoyable overall with a beautiful location, making it perfect for attending a wedding. The breakfast in the lovely dining room was a great start to the day. Just be aware that the budget rooms require climbing stairs and can get a bit chilly. The atmosphere of the place really added to the charm of the occasion.

This place suits me perfectly with free wi-fi in rooms, a cozy bar/lounge area, and a lovely restaurant. The staff helped me with evening plans on my first visit, which I remember fondly. I highly recommend it and will be back for Christmas!

Beautiful grounds and spacious room, but breakfast was very limited.

We had a great time with friends! The beautiful grounds were perfect for relaxing between trips to Elizabethtown College and local attractions. The breakfast in the lovely dining room was decent, although it could start a bit earlier. Just a heads up for future guests, the room access is via stairs, so be prepared!
We were disappointed that the fireplaces in our rooms couldn’t be used during our stay. It felt frustrating since we were looking forward to a cozy atmosphere. Communication could have been better on that front.

Y’all, the breakfast was decent, and the vibe of the estate is simply gorgeous—perfect for a chill getaway. Plus, the staff was friendly, making the whole experience feel a bit like home. Can we talk about the Thai joint nearby? Those dishes were a game changer!
But hold up, my room was more of a bug showcase than a cozy retreat—20 dead stinkbugs on the windowsill, y’all! No toiletries and that fireplace? Just a prop with no warmth. Plus, the wedding chaos made parking a hassle. Overall, I wanted that classic bed and breakfast experience, but it felt more like a missed opportunity.

The grounds are stunning, perfect for a romantic getaway! 🌺 Breakfast was homemade but portions were quite small. A bit disappointed with the parking situation during the wedding events. Overall, a pleasant but flawed experience.

The dining experience was delightful, with a beautiful location steeped in history. The staff was friendly and exceptionally helpful, especially Linda who shared great local tips. The breakfast options were satisfying, with plenty of hot coffee available.
The slippery deck and lack of a full-length mirror in the room were minor issues.
